About the Forum 

First held in 1999, China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) is an annual hi-tech event approved by the State Council of China, and jointly hosted by eight premier ministries of China and the Shenzhen Municipal Government. The CHTF showcases the latest trend in the Hi-tech industry, mainly in the fields of IT, new energy, new material, energy saving & green technology, biotech, advanced manufacturing, etc. Now it is reputed as ¡°China¡¯s No. 1 Science and Technology Show¡±, which creates a platform for valuable exchange of information and experience on science, technology, and economic development. CHTF also plays an important role in promoting commercialization, industrialization and internationalization of high-tech achievements, and building up a bridge to encourage exchanges and cooperation between countries and regions. Last year the CHTF 2016 achieved a great success with a total exhibition area of 150,000©O, 3533 exhibitors and 23,334 projects from 37 countries, and more than 589,000 visitors from 97 countries. 

Being part of CHTF, the China High-Tech Forum has won extraordinary reputation by its high-profile speakers as China¡¯s most inspiring platform for dialogue and information exchange across the world in the economic and high-tech domains. Since 1999, a great variety of celebrities have taken the lectern at this global stages, talking strategies and visions with the audience, including 14 Nobel Prize winners, more than 100 ministerial government officials, as well as more than 400 transnational corporation presidents, scientists, economists, and entrepreneurs worldwide.  

Review of Forum 2016

The China Hi-Tech Forum 2016 was a record-breaking year. Maintaining the ¡°high-level, high-quality and authoritative¡± standard, more than 30 speakers took the lectern during the three days of China Hi-Tech Forum, talking about strategies and visions with their audiences. The renowned keynote speakers included Nobel Prize Laureate in Economic Sciences 2010 Christopher Pissarides, Nobel Prize Laureate in Physics 1984 Carlo Rubbia, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences & Chinese Academy of Engineering Lu Yongxiang, President of the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dirk von Vopelius£»Executive officers from prestigious transnational corporations such as Qualcomm, Microsoft, Lenovo, Bosch, Midea, China Merchants Group; as well as high-ranking officers from Bahrain, Lithuania, Kenya, Belgium and the United Nations. 

With the lead theme: Innovation-driven, Quqlity-oriented, China Hi-Tech Forum 2016 was scheduled into: Opening Forum, The 13th Five-Year Plan & Supply-Side Reform Forum, China Innovation Forum, Quality Revolution Forum, Mass Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Financial Technology Summit, and Corporate Events. In the series of keynotes and forums, the guest speakers discussed the hottest topics and the trends shaping the industries.
